Guided tour of the exhibition Raoul Dufy, The Sound of Music

Dedicated to one of the most popular artists on the French scene in the first half of the 20th century century, with an instantly recognizable style, the exhibition does justice in particular to the extraordinary diversity of Dufy's genius. Far from limiting himself to easel painting alone, he was passionate about drawing, engraving, ceramics and textile art.

The first collaboration in the partnership between Les Franciscaines and the Centre Pompidou, the exhibition Raoul Dufy, la mélodie du bonheur is presented as a retrospective drawing on the considerable collection of works by the Norman artist (Le Havre, 1877 - Forcalquier, 1953) held by the Musée National d'Art Moderne, augmented by a number of works from the Franciscaines collection.

Around one hundred works, including sixty paintings, are presented in ten chronological and thematic sections, exploring, among other things, his Norman links and his musical inspirations.
