Planches Contact Festival
Every autumn, Deauville becomes the setting for a unique photographic event: the Planches Contact Festival. Based on artistic residencies, it invites established and emerging photographers to explore Normandy. The 2025 edition marks a turning point, focusing for the first time on a universal and unifying theme: intimacy. The festival offers a sensitive, committed and open-minded edition, between contemporary creation and immersion in the region.
Some twenty artists are featured, including ARNO RAFAEL MINKKINEN, master of the self-portrait in the landscape, LIN ZHIPENG (NO. 223) with his vivid scenes of liberated youth, MYRIAM BOULOS inaugurating an off-site residency from Lebanon, FRÉDÉRIC STUCIN and his behind-the-scenes look at cabarets, CLAUDE CAHUN and CINDY SHERMAN, united in an unprecedented dialogue on identities.
