Arnaud Cathrine & Maissiat
Arnaud Cathrine's latest book has become a musical reading performed by the author and Maissiat, his singing partner. A beautiful way to share, in words and music, this intimate journey and return to the world.
To accompany Roman de plages, part of which takes place between Benerville-sur-Mer and Deauville, Arnaud Cathrine and singer Maissiat perform a musical reading, mixing extracts from the novel with songs. They recount the intimate, existential journey of Raphaël, a 48-year-old writer whose partner has just left him after twenty years together. Raphaël is touring the French coastline in the hope that beauty - and perhaps an encounter - will repair him and give him a glimpse of a second life... For Les Franciscaines, the two artists pause and linger, of course, on the Normandy episode of this seaside odyssey. In all simplicity: two voices and images of our shores.
