Award ceremony
Created in 2010, the Prix Jean-Jacques Rousseau de l'autobiographie, named after the philosopher who pioneered the genre with Les Confessions, is awarded annually to French-language works of autobiography or autofiction.
The prize is awarded to an author whose book stands out for the sincerity, introspection and literary quality of its life story. The ceremony takes place for the second year running in Deauville, and for the first time at Les Franciscaines, in the company of jury members from the literary world, and includes a meeting with the winner, followed by a book signing. After Alice Develey, winner of the Prix 2025 with her first novel Tombée du ciel (L'Iconoclaste), who will win this year's prize? Suspense. Answer on June 13.
