Marie-Agnès Gillot, Johana Malédon & Zadig Hamroune
When an adored star and fashion icon meets a promising young dancer and choreographer.
This shared stage brings together two dancers, two bodies, two gesturalities that, far from being opposed, have much to share.
Marie-Agnès Gillot performs a solo excerpt from Black over Red, written by Carolyn Carlson for the Mark Rothko exhibition at the Fondation Vuitton. A choreography of rare intensity. Marie-Agnès Gillot has moved on to other things. The dancer is simply as close as possible to movement, and to life.
As for Johana Malédon, she dances her latest creation, Titre provisoire, in which she explores the notion of metamorphosis. In a process of constant deconstruction and reconstruction, her movement persistently seeks, assumes and evaporates in an instant.

The two solos follow one another, then the bodies come together in a third act hosted by author Zadig Hamroune. It's a question of body and graph, vocabulary and syntax, phrasing and rhythm, to highlight what dance owes to writing and vice versa. Both are invited to improvise a dance based on texts written for the occasion. A new dance of words in pas de deux is created before our very eyes.
