The art of always being right
A few weeks after the municipal elections in France, Compagnie Cassandre takes a humorous look at the mechanisms of political rhetoric.
A simple, fast and infallible method for winning an election. Such is the promise of Girafe, the (more or less serious) Groupe Interdisciplinaire de Recherches pour l'Accession aux Fonctions Électorales. On stage, in front of a big screen, two real-fake lecturers teach, and above all dissect, the techniques of mass manipulation used by certain political leaders. Their target? An audience of candidates, in other words... the public! Using sophisms, wooden language and real-life examples, these wizards of language show us how to refine a storytelling, avoid conflict or have a good program. Finally, they answer the most delicate and difficult question of all: how - even when you're wrong - can you always be right?
