Inaugural evening
Planches Contact Festival opens the festivities for an autumn of photography at Les Franciscaines with the presentation of its 16th edition, followed by a live performance of live silver prints in the heart of the Cloister.
To inaugurate its new edition, Planches Contact Festival invites the public to an exceptional evening at Les Franciscaines. After a presentation of the program, the public is invited to discover the group exhibition Intimité, installed in the courtyard of the exhibitions, where artists explore the notion of intimacy through their view of Normandy.
Echoing the exhibition, Italian photographer Renato D'Agostin offers a rare and spectacular performance: bringing the darkroom out into the open. Before the public's very eyes, he creates silver prints from negatives captured in Deauville, revealing the images live. A technical and poetic gesture that brings together creation, material and vision.
