Emmanuelle Vo-Dinh-Pavillon-S
Mirari ou mirage, the new work by choreographer Emmanuelle Vo-Dinh, is a dreamlike journey inspired by nature. Before our very eyes, the bodies appear like landscapes, inviting us to a poetic and enchanting escape.
Mirari is a female trio made up of four rituals, each echoing a particular landscape, a world of plants or animals, water or woodland, where nocturnal sirens and noisy ectoplasms, luminous avatars and retinal persistence follow one another.
Often drawing her inspiration from nature, the choreographer creates a succession of tableaux, a landscape in movement that is sometimes abstract, sometimes real. Muscles and skin are constantly reconfigured, revealing new perspectives in our imaginations. Each stage offers a moment of grace, with a highly symbolic trajectory, from the proliferation of images to the disappearance of bodies - the very essence of dance, which consists in writing ephemeral traces in space that make sense.
This choreographic creation was welcomed into a creative residency at Les Franciscaines in December 2022.
