Elisabeth Quin meets Eva Jospin & Marc Jeanson

For her latest interview, Elisabeth Quin brings together visual artist Eva Jospin and botanist Marc Jeanson. The two share their poetic views of nature and the living world.

Hosted in 2022 at Les Franciscaines for the exhibition Vous êtes un arbre! Eva Jospin is internationally renowned for her large-scale forest landscapes made from honeycombed cardboard. For over ten years, the French artist and former resident of Villa Medici has been presenting her remarkable forests, conceived in the style of monumental Renaissance wonder chambers, in major museums around the world.

Marc Jeanson is head of the herbarium at the Museum d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris, as well as being a storyteller. He never ceases to share his passion for botany with the general public. Advocating education through beauty, he has joined forces with the Chaumet jewelry house, whose plant world is an inexhaustible source of inspiration. He recently took over as head of the botanical department at the Majorelle garden in Marrakech, a natural gem named after its founder, the French painter Jacques Majorelle, and one of the homes of the legendary couple Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé.
