Alberto Santos-Dumont
An airport bears his name in Rio, a street in Paris, a crater on the Moon and even a mission in space. But who was Alberto Santos-Dumont? He is first and foremost one of the fathers of modern aviation, and undoubtedly the most Deauvillais of Brazilians, since he settled in Bénerville-sur-Mer in 1911 after having surveyed the Côte Fleurie as early as 1905.
Actor, director and film researcher Ricardo Napoleão tells us his extraordinary story, accompanied by Cape Verdean singer Lucibela. A worthy heiress to Cesária Évora, Cape Verde-born Lucibela began singing at an early age. A few years later, she took her first steps as a singer in the hotels of Santa Maria
on the island of Sal and Sal Rei on the island of Boa Vista. There, she honed her technique and immediately met with success among tourists, performing the repertoire of Cape Verde's greatest voices.
In 2016, she made her debut in Lisbon. Some journalists are already comparing her to the Barefoot Diva. Since then, Lucibela-la-voix d'or has been spreading the Cape Verdean repertoire all over the world, with a voice that is a miracle in its ability to explore the lower registers in the manner of the great Brazilian sambistas, while adding subtle vibratos.
