Isadora's memory: an exceptional musical moment to discover

This summer,Les Franciscaines, a place for the creation and hybridization of the arts, presents two exceptional performances of an original creation, freely inspired by the iconic figure of Isadora Duncan.
Receive, transform, reinterpret, create a silent dialogue between Marie-Agnès Gillot and Elisabeth Schwartz that becomes a visual poem between body and music. A sensitive journey unfolds, where beauty and poetry unite for a moment of distraught freedom.
Star Marie-Agnès Gillot, associate artist at Les Franciscaines this year, and dancer and dance historian Elisabeth Schwartz, dressed by Damien Brard, join forces for a creation imagined by choreographer and teacher Colette Malye, in connection with the exhibition Bleu profond, l'océan révélépresented this summer at Les Franciscaines.
Isadora Duncan's connection with the sea is well known. This creation explores the freedom and audacity of Duncan's gesture, set to scores played live by the great violinist Alexander Balanescu, accompanied by cellist Caroline Sypniewski.
