Eva Jospin, biography

Eva Jospin, born in 1975 in Paris, is a graduate in 2022 of the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris. For the past fifteen years, she has been creating meticulous forests and architectural landscapes, which she explores through various media: ink, embroidery, bronze and, above all, cardboard, which has become her signature. Through her mastery of cutting – whether with a craft knife or scissors, and whether or not she follows the direction of the grooves and cells – Eva Jospin transports us to the heart of Italian Baroque gardens, the rocaille decorations of the 18th century, and artificial grottos.

Having been a resident at the Villa Medici in Rome in 2017 and elected to the Sculpture section of the Académie des Beaux-Arts in 2024, Eva Jospin has been featured in numerous major international exhibitions.

In 2022, she exhibited her monumental work Forêt courbe at the Franciscaines in Deauville as part of the exhibition Vous êtes un arbre. In 2025, she was invited by the Grand Palais in Paris to curate a solo exhibition, Grottesco, looking back over her ten-year career, for which she created the work Scala.

In early 2026, her first institutional exhibition in the United States opened at the SCAD Museum of Art in Savannah (Georgia).
