Jacques Henri Lartigue, Deauville chronicler
From 1904 to 1980, Jacques Henri Lartigue (1894 -1986) was a regular visitor to Deauville. To preserve the memory of his happy summers, he wrote down his escapades in souvenir albums, which he illustrated with his photographs.
Philippe Normand, who curated Lartigue's open-air exhibition Le Deauville de Lartigue in 2019, restores the elegance and beautiful sensitivity of these albums, in Lartigue's own words and images.

Rendez-vous Friendciscaines?
The Friendciscaines Rendezvous are moments of encounter between you - subscribers, visitors, the curious - and us - curators, lecturers, mediators. On Tuesdays, we get together with friends in the Franciscaines' creative salons for a talk on an unexpected theme, given by a member of the Franciscaines team who is a specialist in the field. Open and convivial, a time of discovery and sharing around what brings us together: all Friendciscaines, all passionate about culture.
