Under the floorboards, little creatures live discreetly, well hidden in a secret world to be discovered, where the little ones know how to stand upright. Arrietty, aged 14, is small but tenacious. She lives with her parents in the nooks and crannies of an old country house and garden. Like all little people, Arrietty always stays hidden, but when a 12-year-old boy, Shô, comes to stay in the house and discovers her mysterious company, a secret friendship develops.
