Unveiling of Françoise Pétrovitch's work
The City of Deauville and Les Franciscaines are proud to announce another exceptional donation from the Association des Amis des Franciscaines. This Saturday, October 26 at 3:30 pm, Françoise Pétrovitch's work will be unveiled in Univers Deauville. This is the fourth donation the Association has made to the museum, continuing its commitment to enriching the permanent collections.
After a third donation from the Association des Amis des Franciscaines with the work Goldengirl by artist Nina Childress, the association has now generously donated a fourth work!
We'll tell you a little more about it: it's a work by the celebrated artist Françoise Pétrovitch, the first contemporary artist to have a solo exhibition at Louvre-Lens. Her works also feature in numerous public and private collections, including the Centre Pompidou, with which Les Franciscaines recently signed a partnership agreement.
This donation is part of the Franciscaines' ambitious acquisition policy, which aims to explore figurative art of the 20th and 21st centuries, complementing the region's rich Impressionist collections. Thanks to the ongoing support of the Association des Amis des Franciscaines, the institution continues to strengthen its place on the contemporary art scene, offering visitors a unique opportunity to discover works by major artists such as Françoise Pétrovitch.
