Partnership agreement between Les Franciscaines and the Centre Pompidou
The Franciscaines de Deauville and the Centre Pompidou are pleased to announce the signing of a framework partnership agreement, marking the start of an exceptional collaboration between these two cultural institutions. This alliance is in line with the Franciscaines' desire to join forces with France's leading cultural institutions, in order to strengthen its role as a center of cultural excellence.
In 2026, the Centre Pompidou will close its doors in order to renovate its building, in particular to optimize its energy consumption, but also to propose a major new cultural project reinventing the Centre's original utopia. This period of closure for renovations provides an opportunity for collaboration with Les Franciscaines, which will result in the organization of two major exhibitions. These will be held at Les Franciscaines.
The first exhibition, scheduled for summer 2026, will be devoted to Raoul Dufy, an emblematic artist of modern art. The second will focus on contemporary photography.
This partnership is based on a natural synergy between the two establishments, which share common missions of disseminating culture and making it accessible to as many people as possible.
The Franciscaines' ambition to collaborate with major cultural institutions is perfectly in line with the Centre Pompidou's strategy, which will continue to extend its influence in Paris, France and internationally, during the restoration of its historic building, thanks to high-quality partnerships in leading cultural venues.
