Launch of the second Deauville Sport Images Festival
From June 6 to September 6, 2026, Deauville hosts the second edition of the Deauville Sport Images Festival. Through 14 free-access exhibitions, screenings, meetings and a grand opening evening, the festival explores sport through the prism of images.
This summer, photography and documentary unite to reveal the power of sporting emotions, shed light on the great human stories of sport and question its role in our society. First highlight not to be missed: La Nuit du Sport, on June 6 at 6.30pm at the C.I.D.; the opening ceremony will be presented by Claire Bricogne, sports journalist at L'Equipe TV and the first woman to commentate on the Tour de France in 2015.
This edition of the festival also places special emphasis on women's sport, and for the first time welcomes the Deauville Sport Doc Festival, dedicated to the moving image, with the screening of never-before-seen documentary films. To mark the occasion, a series of films will be shown on Sunday June 7, in La Chapelle des Franciscaines from 2pm.
