The Franciscan Sisters and Le Réfectoire mobilize against Charcot's disease
On Wednesday July 10, to mark the 10th anniversary of the Ice Bucket Challenge, teams from Le Réfectoire and Les Franciscaines took part in the "Défi Givré" to raise funds for the fight against Charcot's disease.
Relaunched by Olivier Goy, theARSLA and Les Invinciblesthis challenge, which involves spilling a bucket of ice-cold water over oneself, aims to raise awareness and funds to combat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). This fatal and incurable disease leads to the loss of mobility, the ability to speak, to eat and, ultimately, to breathe.
In ten years, donations generated by this challenge have enabled significant advances in research to better understand the causes of ALS, improve diagnosis and offer better treatment options for patients.
Join us in this gesture of solidarity by making a donation to accelerate scientific advances. Every contribution counts!
