On Saturday March 14, La Chapelle des Franciscaines played host to the Calvados departmental final of the Petits Champions des la lecture. This nationwide game for CM1 and CM2 pupils is open to all schools in France, and takes place throughout the school year, from September to December.

This departmental stage showcased talented young readers, capable of bringing texts to life aloud with accuracy and expressiveness.

The jury rewarded two winners: Garance Faure and Aurèle Chalumeau, the latter having distinguished himself with his reading of The Dragons of Nalsara by Marie-Hélène Delval.

Aurèle, who attends theFracasse elementary school in Deauville, represented the municipality with a performance praised for its quality. Congratulations to all participants for their commitment, and see you at the regional final!
