Alain Chamfort sings for Les Enfants du Noma

French chanson icon Alain Chamfort offers an intimate and moving musical evening in support of children suffering from noma. This charity concert, with all proceeds going to the Les Enfants du Noma association, aims to fund vital surgical missions in Africa and Asia.
OnThursday July 17 at 7:30pm, Alain Chamfort, accompanied by the talented Vincent Bidal on piano, will offer a pure interpretation of his timeless melodies. Timeless classics such as "Manureva" and "Le temps qui court" will rub shoulders with tracks from his latest album, "L'Impermanence", in an atmosphere where his warm voice blends harmoniously with the delicate notes of the piano. This musical voyage promises to be a powerful moment, tinged with emotion and generosity.
The Association Les Enfants du Noma: over twenty years in the making
Founded in 2001 by plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr Philippe Bellity, the association Les Enfants du Noma is dedicated to giving back a face and dignity to children mutilated by this terrible disease. Noma is an invasive and little-known bacterium that destroys the mouth, nose and jaw, preventing children from eating, speaking and living normally.
Thanks to the commitment of nearly 200 volunteers, the association has alreadyoperated on 5,000 children in countries such as Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Cameroon and Laos. Every month, some 100 professionals - surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses - and volunteers are mobilized for these missions.
