600,000 visitors and as many thanks
This weekend, an exceptional event lit up Les Franciscaines : the welcome of our 600,000th visitor! A huge thank you to each and every one of you, art, history and culture enthusiasts, who came through our doors and transformed this place into an unrivalled place of cultural life and sharing.
To mark this memorable occasion, Philippe Augier, Mayor of Deauville and President of the Franciscaines, had the honor of extending a warm and enthusiastic welcome to 11-year-old Louna from Nantes. As a sign of welcome, Louna received a Friendciscaines Pass and exclusive gifts from the Franciscaines.
" I wasn't expecting such a warm welcome, but I'm delighted. I came to visit, I like to draw, write, paint and admire the paintings. I think anyone can love art and come here," confided Louna.
This was Louna's first visit to the Franciscans, but she had a special connection: one of her aunts is a member of the Franciscan sisters and lives next door in the new convent. She promised us she'd be back soon!
