1 hour

Since the 1930s, actors and film professionals have been meeting in Deauville in the summer. From the 50s onwards, Hollywood actors and directors appeared, who came to meet Rita Hayworth after disembarking from the transatlantic ships linking New York to Le Havre. They came back after the creation in 1975 of the Deauville American Film Festival. In addition to Claude Lelouch's famous Un Homme et une femme, shot in December 1965, more than 70 films have been shot in Deauville since 1919. Filming, residencies and regular stays of actors and film festivals, plunge into the graphic and film collections of les Franciscaines to discover and share how Le 7e art se décline et Deauville.
