Salt of the earth

As part of the exhibition Sebastião Salgado, collection de la MEP, Les Franciscaines is screening this documentary devoted to the life and work of this exceptional photographer.

For the past forty years, photographer Sebastião Salgado has traveled the world's continents, following in the footsteps of a humanity in the throes of change. While he has witnessed the major events that have marked our recent history: international conflicts, famine, exodus... He is now embarking on the discovery of virgin territories with grandiose landscapes, to meet wild flora and fauna in a gigantic photographic project, a tribute to the beauty of the planet. His life and work are revealed through the eyes of his son, Juliano, who accompanied him on his last journeys, and Wim Wenders, also a photographer.
