
Gulbenkian Park
On the outskirts of Deauville, Le Domaine des Enclos is an exceptional 33-hectare park acquired in 1937 by Calouste Gulbenkian (1869-1955), a businessman and aesthete who was one of the greatest collectors of the 20th century. For the past 35 years, Deauville has owned and shared one of the works in which he was most involved: a garden "in his own way".
Morning visit at 11 a.m., followed by a talk in La Chapelle at 4 p.m.

Cristina Castel-Branco, author of the new book Les Enclos, le jardin interrompu de M. Gulbenkian, and Philippe Normand, Deauville's cultural advisor, lead a two-voice tour of Le Parc Gulbenkian and its history.
Lecture (4pm)
by Pascal Buléon, Director of the MRSH / Université de Caen and publisher, Cristina Castel-Branco and Philippe Normand on new discoveries revealed by the exploration of the Calouste Gulbenkian archives in Lisbon, followed by a screening of previously unpublished documents and the film directed by Marc Gulbenkian. In the presence of Philippe Augier, Mayor of Deauville, and Antonio Feijo, President of the Gulbenkian Foundation and professor of literature.
