Molière and his masks
Molière, far from the glitz and glamour of Versailles, Molière's origins, the tréteaux and carts rattling along the roads. This show, featuring six actors and musicians, draws its inspiration from the original source of troupe theater. With great economy of means and an abundance of energy.
As Simon Falguières, the show's author and director, makes clear from the outset: "La compagnie le K wants to and can play anywhere. On trestles with a sheet as a backdrop, in schools, village halls, gymnasiums... And even in real theaters. And even in real theatres, all the better to rediscover the spirit of "theater branguebalante" that must have been Molière's when he arrived in Pézenas. Molière, in fact, is the guiding light of French theater, and of the Le K company in particular. In just over an hour, everyone is cast: petit marquis, true or false devotees, précieuses, Richelieu, Lully, Madeleine, Armande... Above all, all the faces of Molière are cast: the author of farces, the comedian of manners, the troupe leader, the actor... And the face of Poquelin, husband, courtier, patient... These modern jugglers of tréteaux make these masks twirl with refreshing dexterity.
