Jeanne Lanvin and Deauville
Jeanne Lanvin (1867-1946) opened a summer boutique in Deauville during the Roaring Twenties, under the arcades of Avenue de l'Hippodrome. What was this branch like? What was on offer? What remains of this legendary house?
Like Gabrielle Chanel and Jean Patou, Jeanne Lanvin chose Deauville to meet her customers every summer at her summer branch. Laetitia Hedde has entered the memory of the House of Lanvin by sharing the memories of one of its models. She knows the history of the House of Lanvin, what characterizes its style, and its international influence. A lecture enriched by the testimony of Françoise Petit, who was manager of the Deauville branch. It's also a great opportunity to share with Jeanne Lanvin's famous clients her seaside creations and models, immortalized in Deauville in the 1930s by the Frères Seeberger.
