Resistance, art and culture in wartime
Christophe de Contenson, mayor of Couzon and departmental councillor for the Allier region (in charge of veterans' affairs and remembrance), shares his personal experience and his commitment to Ukraine, at a screening followed by a discussion and book signing.
The Bourbonnais politician, who has visited Ukraine twice since the start of the war, has collaborated with photographer Félix Giraudon to produce the book "Résister, art et culture en temps de guerre" (Resisting, art and culture in wartime) and a documentary, in which both offer a deep insight into human resilience through personal accounts, photographs and works of art.
Every copy sold supports the purchase and fitting-out of a mobile psychological care bus in Ukraine, providing vital support to populations affected by the conflict.
