The Lady of Azobe
In 2012, Deauville explored one of its defining characteristics: its long-standing and genetic relationship with cinema. In June, it launched a call for contributions for the production of a fiction film based on the personal archives of Deauvillais and others who have frequented the town, to reveal how Deauville can be filmed as it is loved.
The fruit of this collective effort was the documentary La Dame d'Azobé. A veritable declaration of love from Deauvillais to their town, and from visiting tourists to their favorite resort, it reveals Deauville as you've never seen it, through the testimonies of those who live it.
