Opening Night
Planches Contact Festival kicks off its 17th edition at Les Franciscaines with an opening night dedicated to “Générations.” An invitation to discover the “Générations” exhibition and the program, which explore the bonds of lineage, transmission, and perspectives that resonate across time.
Over the course of one evening, Les Franciscaines will unveil the highlights of the Planches Contact Festival and the exhibitions that will take over Deauville and Normandy throughout the fall.
The public will discover the new “Generations” exhibition in the Exhibition Courtyard in the presence of the artists: Newsha Tavakolian, Alain and Léo Keler, Lise Sarfati, and Tom Wood; a unique dialogue with Hans-Peter Feldmann; the projects by the winners of the Young Photographic Creation Prize; as well as the work of Oleñka Carrasco and La Chica, winners of the Swiss Life Four-Handed Prize.
A program that brings together different generations, photographic styles, and personal narratives to kick off this new edition of the festival.
