Musée des impressionnismes Giverny

In Normandy, in an exceptional setting combining art and nature, the Musée des Impressionismes Giverny focuses on the history of this movement, from its beginnings to contemporary art. Since 2009, the museum has been actively promoting Impressionism and its aftermath.

It presents varied collections of paintings, photographs and sculptures, all linked to this revolutionary artistic period.

In summer 2025, the Musée des impressionnismes Giverny is organizing an exhibition of works from its collection on the theme of gardens, a theme through which Monet's influence can be seen throughout the 20th century, from Bonnard to Joan Mitchell and contemporary design. On this occasion, the museum pays tribute to Italian designer Andrea Branzi (1938-2023).

In collaboration with the Centre Pompidou, curated by Marie-Ange Brayer, the museum is presenting a collection of works (design objects, drawings, models, etc.) including Bamboo Interior Wood, a vast installation of painted bamboo. Inspired by Monet, who created an "artificial" nature through his garden, Branzi questions our relationship with nature and our co-existence with living things.
