Les Franciscaines presents a new exhibition dedicated to Sebastião Salgado in the Cour des Expositions. An immersive black-and-white journey through three decades of photography, exploring humanity and its relationship with nature.

Les Franciscaines joins forces with the Maison Européenne de la Photographie to offer visitors an exceptional exhibition dedicated to Sebastião Salgadoone of the greatest contemporary humanist photographers. Featuring 167 works, including 75 prints from his celebrated Génésis series, this retrospective invites visitors on a gripping journey to the heart of the world.

From the droughts of Africa to the migrations of the 20th century, via the planet's last virgin territories, Salgado powerfully captures the fragile beauty and harshness of reality. His work, both testimony and commitment, questions our relationship with the environment and human societies.

Curated by Pascal Hoël, head of collections at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie, this exhibition is a unique opportunity to delve into Salgado's masterful work and rediscover the power of documentary photography.
