Micro-Folie at Les Franciscaines

The concept of the Micro-Folie, which is being deployed throughout France under the impetus of the Ministry of Culture, has the same ambitions as les Franciscaines: to disseminate cultural content, to encourage creation and creativity, to be a place of conviviality and exchange.

Inspired by the Folies du Parc de La Villette designed by the architect Bernard Tschumi, the innovative Micro-Folie project is led by the Ministry of Culture and coordinated by La Villette, with the support of major national institutions such as the Château de Versailles, the Centre Pompidou, the Louvre, the Picasso National Museum, the Musée du Quai Branly, the Philarmonie de Paris, the RMN-Grand Palais and the Avignon Festival, ...
The Micro-Folie de Deauville is one of the first 10 Micro-Folies open from 2017.
Marvel, learn, surpass oneself, have fun, create and share, these are the experiences that the Micro-Folie promises in Deauville today.

A Fablab, a library/game library and a Digital Museum are the elements that make up the Micro-Folie. The Fablab and the library/library/library are an integral part of les Franciscaines.

The Digital Museum is a tool to extend the collections of the Franciscan Women's Museum and to put them in parallel with works from national or international institutions.

Thanks to this device, masterpieces of art are accessible on a giant screen and digital tablets. Painting, sculpture, engraving, architecture, furniture and contemporary art are represented, from prehistory to the present day. The living arts, sciences and ethnology are also present in this Digital Museum which brings together the collections of :
