What was Deauville like before the Planches?
To mark the centenary of Les Planches, studio Noovae collaborated with Les Franciscaines to design an immersive experience through time, a journey beyond collective memory, to discover the fascinating evolution of the Deauville waterfront.
For many, Les Planches conjures up memories of long ago... But what would you say to immerse yourself in the Deauville of 1859 to 1924, thanks to virtual reality? Through meticulous reconstructions based on historical archives and using a virtual reality headset and joystick, Deauville becomes a village once again, revealing the deserted marshes, the construction of the first villas and grand hotels, and the evolution of seaside practices from 1859 to the inauguration of Les Planches in 1924.
