David Legrand presents DÜRRR, his series of fictional digital engravings
Six months after his first residency at the FabLab des Franciscaines, David Legrand, artist-researcher and collective, returns for a creative residency around his edition, DÜRRR: nine laser-engraved selfies of Jean-Luc Godard by Albrecht Dürer.
David Legrand works at the crossroads of programmed art and video creation. For over 20 years, he has initiated several study programs and collective projects in France and abroad. He is currently working on a series of immaterial works and interactive narratives.
DÜRRR is a series of engraved portraits of Jean-Luc Godard in the style of Albrecht Dürer. These images were created using the artificial intelligence-assisted image generation method"prompt art". The combination of digital images and traditional printing techniques harmoniously blends the heritage of the past with the potential offered by new technologies. DÜRRR is a fictional visual narrative that subtly weaves together different temporal strata and modes of representation, creating a fictional aesthetic in David Legrand's terminology.
A free event for the general public, not to be missed this Sunday, July 16, with advance booking.
