Coming soon to Les Franciscaines: the art of master Zao Wou-Ki
Deauville, a city open to the world, is honored to welcome the exceptional art of Zao Wou-Ki to its cultural heart, Les Franciscaines.
From Saturday March 2, Les Franciscaines presents an exceptional exhibition : Zao Wou-Ki - Alleys of another world. This exhibition explores the artistic freedom of the artist Zao Wou-Ki through the diversity of plastic and intellectual expressions he approached throughout his life.
For the first time, all media are brought together: paintings, watercolors, inks, prints, tapestries, porcelain and an imposing wall decoration over 16 meters long. A celebration of the practice and thought of this total artist, whose existential approach was entirely dedicated to the representation of realities beyond those of the visible world.
Curator: Gilles Chazal, General Curator of Heritage and Honorary Director of the Petit Palais, Musée des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris, professor at the Ecole du Louvre.
