22nd edition of Rencontres d'été: Brigitte Giraud & Judith Henry at Les Franciscaines
A rare and moving moment to come at Les Franciscaines: actress Judith Henry reads excerpts from Brigitte Giraud's Vivre vite (Prix Goncourt 2022) and À présent, her other book published in 2001.
As part of the 22nd "Intime/Extime" edition of the Rencontres d'été Théâtre et Lecture en Normandie, Les Franciscaines hosts a reading/meeting with Brigitte Giraud and Judith Henry, Thursday July 27 at 7pm.
In Vivre vite, Brigitte Giraud revisits the circumstances that led to the sudden death of her partner Claude in a motorcycle accident in 1999. Twenty years on, she probes the unanswered questions one last time.
"A magnificent tale about the meaning of destiny." - Le Figaro Littéraire
"Very delicate, very gentle. A deeply moving novel." - France Culture
"A hymn to life." - Le Journal du DImanche
A reading followed by a meeting and book signing with the author, hosted by Nadine Edghels.
